Dear Business Owner: I am a 30 something husband & father. I'm an all around computer junkie. As a gen-X'er, I grew up on them. I've also been plugged into the web since I invented it...(just kidding). Personally, I like clean, fast loading, "non-fluff" sites. What is non-fluff? Well, you may notice my website has information and some color, but is not overloaded with Flash animation or photos. This is not to say I don't design websites with them. Done well, multimedia can enhance your site. After all animations, movies, are pretty cool. However, sometimes there can be fluff without true information and content. In my humble opinion, a business website should be attractive, load fast (provided you have a decent internet connection) and give the prospective customer the information he/she needs to make a decision on whether to call you or not. There is a saying in the web development community, "Content is King." If she has to wait 30 seconds for a movie to load just to get to the meat of the content, you had better have some good information and a reason on the other end for her to call you... or buy online. So if you are reading this and wondering why this web guy doesn't have a fancy Flash Intro or background music to try to woo you, now you know why. I can design (or redesign if you have one) your site, help you write enticing information if you need, and wrap it up with a pretty bow so that your prospective customer will want to call or buy from you. Even if you don't sell your product or service online, in many cases your website should be an inexpensive unlimited sized Yellow Pages ad, or an extension thereof. (If you are not sure whether you need a website, whether or not you have a Yellow Page listing, read this article on my site.) Finally...about me, you ask? I digress. Simply put: I'm just a "little guy" that wants to help you get your business noticed and called. If you need help and can't, don't want to, don't have time to design, redesign, publish and maintain your website, then call or email me. I promise I take good care of you and your business, for very reasonable price. Warmest Regards, Tony Veroeven |
